COMPLETION & PAYMENT TERMS

“Completion of Work” occurs when the agreed-upon structural exclusion, sealing, and repair work has been physically installed.

Completion is based solely on installation of the exclusion work and is **not dependent on wildlife activity stopping, trap removal, follow-up visits, or the warranty period**.

Upon Completion of Work, Critter One will issue the final invoice and may immediately charge the remaining balance, including approved change orders, to the payment method on file.

  • A valid payment method must remain on file prior to and during service.
  • If payment is declined or no valid payment method is maintained, Critter One reserves the right to suspend, delay, or withhold further work or warranty services until payment is secured.
  • Warranty coverage is contingent upon payment in full.
  • Unpaid balances may be referred to a collection agency or pursued through legal remedies permitted by law.

SCHEDULING & APPOINTMENT POLICY

Critter One reserves dedicated crew time specifically for your project.

A $250 scheduling deposit is required to reserve an appointment.

  • Cancellations made 48 hours or more before the scheduled appointment will receive a full refund of the scheduling deposit.
  • Cancellations made within 48 hours of the scheduled appointment will be considered a late cancellation and the scheduling deposit will be forfeited.
  • Failure to provide access at the scheduled appointment time will be treated as a late cancellation and the deposit will not be refunded.

If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, please contact our office as soon as possible by phone, text, or email so we can assist you.

SCOPE OF WORK

Critter One will perform the services described in the approved estimate.

Services may include:

  • Inspection of the structure for wildlife activity
  • Removal or trapping of nuisance wildlife where necessary
  • Sealing, repairing, or reinforcing identified entry points
  • Installation of exclusion materials to prevent wildlife entry
  • Monitoring of traps and wildlife activity until removal is complete

Only the **areas specifically identified and repaired in the approved estimate** are included in the scope of work.

WILDLIFE REMOVAL PHASE

When trapping or wildlife removal is required, Critter One will service traps and monitor wildlife activity until activity has been eliminated or reduced to normal exterior wildlife presence.

Trap checks and monitoring may require multiple visits and will occur during normal business operations.

15-MONTH RE-ENTRY GUARANTEE

Critter One provides a **15-month limited re-entry guarantee** on areas repaired, sealed, or modified under the original scope of work.

The warranty period begins on the date the work is completed.

If wildlife re-enters the structure **through an area repaired or sealed by Critter One**, we will return to inspect the structure and repair or reinforce the affected area at no additional cost during the warranty period.

Response to warranty calls will typically be provided within **48 hours during normal business days**, excluding weekends and holidays.

Critter One’s obligation under this guarantee is limited to inspection and repair of the areas originally treated by Critter One.

WILDLIFE EXPECTATIONS

Wildlife is naturally occurring in outdoor environments. While Critter One takes extensive measures to identify and repair potential entry points, no service can guarantee that wildlife will never attempt to access a structure in the future.

The purpose of exclusion work is to prevent wildlife from entering the structure through the areas repaired or reinforced, not to eliminate wildlife from the surrounding environment.

GUARANTEE LIMITATIONS

This guarantee applies **only to the specific areas repaired, sealed, or modified by Critter One under the original scope of work**.

The guarantee does not cover:

  • Entry through previously undiscovered areas not included in the original repair scope
  • New vulnerabilities or structural gaps that develop after the work is completed
  • Structural deterioration or damage occurring after completion of the work
  • Wildlife entering through areas not repaired or modified by Critter One
  • Wildlife activity outside the structure
  • Damage caused by Acts of God including storms, flooding, fire, hurricanes, tornadoes, or falling objects

Pier and beam homes, tile roofs, or other specialized construction types are warranted only for the specific work performed by Critter One.

Critter One is not responsible for past, present, or future interior or exterior structural damage caused by wildlife. This includes but is not limited to damage to roofs, chimneys, lawn furniture, HVAC equipment, wiring, or cable lines.

SERVICE VISIT POLICY

Critter One will provide follow-up service visits as needed to address wildlife activity related to the original scope of work.

If repeated service visits indicate that the issue is caused by:

  • a new entry point
  • structural issues not included in the original repair
  • wildlife activity unrelated to the original issue

additional repairs or service fees may be required.

Critter One reserves the right to perform a full structural reinspection if wildlife activity persists after multiple service visits.

PROPERTY OWNER RESPONSIBILITIES

To maintain the validity of this guarantee, the property owner agrees to:

  • Maintain the structure in reasonable condition
  • Notify Critter One of any roof, siding, construction, or structural repairs that may affect exclusion work
  • Secure doors, windows, garage openings, crawlspace access points, and pet doors
  • Follow reasonable recommendations regarding pet feeding, food storage, and vegetation management that may attract wildlife

Failure to maintain the property in reasonable condition may void the guarantee.

ACCESS TO PROPERTY

Customer agrees to provide Critter One access to the property during normal business hours:

Monday – Friday: 8:00 AM – 5:30 PM

Failure to provide access at scheduled times may result in a $75 service charge.

EQUIPMENT RESPONSIBILITY

Customer is responsible for vandalism, theft, or damage to any equipment or materials left on the property during the duration of service.

NON-WILDLIFE SERVICE CALLS

If a service call is requested and the source of the issue is determined to be non-wildlife related, a service fee of $75 may be assessed.

Examples include:

  • tree branches contacting the structure
  • exterior wildlife activity unrelated to entry
  • noises not caused by wildlife inside the structure

REFUND POLICY

All sales are considered final once services have been performed.

Refunds may only be considered under the following circumstances:

  1. Service cancellation prior to work beginning (see cancellation policy)
  2. Verified service failure that cannot be corrected by Critter One
  3. Situations determined by Critter One management to warrant refund consideration

Refund decisions are made on a case-by-case basis.

REFUND PROCEDURE

If a refund is approved, the following conditions apply:

  1. A manager must inspect the property with the customer present.
  2. Critter One must be allowed to remove any installed materials or equipment.
  3. Any wildlife captured during service must be handled according to applicable wildlife regulations.

DISPUTE RESOLUTION

Before initiating any chargeback, legal claim, complaint with a regulatory agency, or public review related to the services provided, the customer agrees to first notify Critter One and allow the company a reasonable opportunity to inspect the property and attempt to resolve the concern.

LIABILITY LIMITATION

Critter One’s total liability under this agreement shall not exceed the total amount paid for the original services performed.

RENEWAL OPTION

This agreement may be renewed for an additional 12-month protection period for an agreed annual fee. Renewal inspections may be required.

ENTIRE AGREEMENT

This document, together with the approved estimate, represents the entire agreement between Critter One and the customer.
